I have Diamond Doves, they are certainly dirtier than ordinary birds. They feed on the ground, so when they eat, the seeds are scattered across the tray and the ground. It's day 2 and -0- a mess. The skirt is very transparent and attractive. My only inconvenience is that my cage door is 3/4 the size of the cage minus the dome. So every day I have to untie and lower my skirt to get to the tray. A slight inconvenience compared to the daily vacuuming of seeds. If my Shark cordless handheld vacuum could talk, it would thank me for letting it sit for 6 months after harvesting the seeds.
