I have been taking medication for the rest of my life that is very toxic to my kidneys. Because of this, I have to drink enough water every day to make them blush. My doctors say 64 ounces a day but it wasn't enough for my kidneys so I upped the dose to 80 ounces. It has helped some, but not as much as I would like. Also, before this bottle, I had to make multiple trips to refill my water bottles, which is very annoying and time consuming, especially at work. I bought this bottle mainly so I don't have to refill my small water bottles as often. The gallon capacity (when full) was good too, but I never thought I could drink it in a day. I was wrong. Aside from not having to refill more than once a day, I've been drinking it up daily most of the time since using this bottle with no problem. Some days I might have 10 ounces left, but that's still 118 ounces of water a day. The motivational messages on the bottle are nice, but I really like the times listed next to it. It helps me control myself during the day and not drink too much water at any point. With my other bottles, I had no idea how to go about it, and I often drank water at the last minute to meet my daily goal; however, this is no longer a problem for me. I can drink a gallon of water a day at the right pace. Even if I'm a little behind, timesheets make it easy to get back on track. In addition to motivational messages and timelines, measurement lines in ounces and milliliters are listed on the other side of the bottle. You'll notice that the top line only reads 116 ounces, but beyond that line there's enough capacity in this bottle to fill to a gallon. not really a problem for me. I dropped it once when it was full and it didn't break, so that's a big plus. Drinking from it takes a little getting used to, but the straw that comes with it is very large and very handy. I take this bottle to work every day and wish I had had something like this before. I will be buying another one to use when this one is cleaned and dried so I won't be without it. I highly recommend it.
