I bought these for easy mounting on the back of a steel shop window sign. I have a few questions with you.1. In the first circuit (20 modules with 3 LEDs) that I prepared for installation, the blue LEDs on the module closest to the power supply failed. It's okay, I cut it off, re-soldered the power wires and I'm back in business. (with 19 modules)2. I added a number of modules to the shield each night, but on the third night the ones I had added on the first night began to fall off. NO, the adhesive strip on my metal sign has not come loose, the modules have come loose from the adhesive tape. In fact, removing the remaining tape from my badge was quite a hassle as I had to replace ALL of it with 3M automotive grade tape. So NO, it had nothing to do with my surface preparation. Which brings me to the third thing.3. As the modules were stripped from their original tape, the back of each module was exposed. To my surprise, there were 3 or 4 holes on the back of the modules and I could literally touch the circuit board inside the module. This means that IF your strip fails, the internal components of the LED modules will be exposed to rain and moisture.4. I added a third strand to the sign and used 3M tape for this and I noticed that the lights that weren't attached to the sign went in and out as if there was a broken wire. I played around with this until I was able to reproduce the problem with an apparent anomaly in the wiring. Luckily I was able to cut this patch out and put it back together. Warning, these things get very hot (impossible to hold) when cranked all the way up, and they also draw 0.96 watts per module. Three strands are 60 watts at 12 volts or 5 amps. You need a power supply and a controller that can handle it. Much luck! I'm sure the fact that they're attached to the back of a steel sign on the front of a building on a Tennessee summer doesn't make them any better. In any case, I need something much more reliable than these modules. Also, the colors are starting to fade, probably due to the heat. One star because I'm really disappointed with the situation and the extra work of removing the sign and relighting it with something else. Continued 3 year warranty ? Much luck.
