I'm pretty picky about what I buy. I want a good deal, but I don't want junk. I was hesitant to choose this stand due to conflicting reviews, but I couldn't find any other stand that would hold the controller and laptop at the same time. I dared and it arrived yesterday. Assembly isn't the easiest, but it's not difficult either. A few tips for those who are engaged in this topic. Don't use the cheap rubber washers that come with the screws. Being rubber, this can lead to reports of the device shaking. Instead, go to the hardware store and buy some small metal washers and use them wherever you are told to use rubber washers. Please also check the size of your laptop before assembly. If you have a large laptop, you will need to move the top brackets further apart. The small sticks can be split into 2 parts, giving you a wider spread. This will stabilize your laptop. They can be difficult to unscrew, so you may need pliers. Try to use something when doing this to avoid scratching. You also get a few extra pads in the kit. I used three for each leg and two for each stance. I then used the last two to guide the front edges of the posts that hold the controller and laptop. Cut out the round shape with scissors or trim with a utility knife. Basically I am satisfied with the price. Some say it's uncomfortable to carry, but I just take it with me in the car. I rate this as a purchase.
