Review on 13.3" Apple MacBook Air 13 Early 2020 2560x1600, Intel Core i5 1.1 GHz, RAM 8 GB, SSD 512 GB, Intel Iris Plus Graphics, macOS, MVH52RU/A, Gold by Agung ᠌

As such, there are no disadvantages, it is convenient to use.

As a result, if you are faced with a choice between Air 512 GB and i5 10 generation and Pro 13 256 GB and i5 8 generation, then I would take Pro 13 if I were you - it has more perfect cooling (2 coolers versus one) and this better reveals the capabilities of the processor than in Air, and I think there will be no problems with memory if you use external SSDs : I don’t see the point of taking macbooks on Intel anymore, I switched to M1 and I’m just delighted!

Pros
  • I liked absolutely everything, for the first time on macOS! The performance is decent, everything flies and starts up instantly due to the fast SSD drive! Autonomy is at its best, I work all day and charge in the evening (from 9 am to 9 pm), although about 40% of the battery charge remains
Cons
  • I would say cooling, but this drawback can only be felt when performing heavy tasks or watching online videos / movies in high resolution (4k and higher). And so, with 10-11 applications running and a bunch of tabs in the Safari browser, the MacBook becomes slightly warm in the area above the keyboard. The keyboard has noticeably plumped up in tactile sensations, Butterly was tactilely great, but I support such a downgrade, I would rather prefer a reliable membrane like in poppies until 2022, which are still being plowed, than technology that has not proven itself in terms of reliability
