Review on Superior Pump 92551 Cast Pedestal by Lawrence Crespo

This is my second 1/3 HP cast iron pump that I have recently purchased. I bought the first one to replace a Flotec drain pump that was supposed to be at least 20 years old. When I checked it before a big storm (Flotec) it started smoking and wasn't pumping. Decided it was time for a new one. Was impressed by the mostly positive reviews of Superior and the price was right. The first one I bought on HD was about $100. Impresses right out of the box. Heavy all-metal construction. After installing it I was wondering when my other drain pump would fail, who knows how old THIS one is, probably at least as old as the one that was smoking. I saw Revain's price drop to $81 and jumped on it. Delivered in excellent condition, assembled and need to find a way to test. Will probably replace it with the real old one then keep the old one as a backup as it still works.
