OK . First, my use case might be a little different than most. I will say that the picture is excellent and I like the equipment. To me, the user interface is incredibly consumer-unfriendly. Samsung's approach to smart TVs seems misguided. I want the TV to connect to my WiFi, but I don't have internet. Wi-Fi requires the TV to connect to a Samsung service for Wi-Fi to work. So no wifi without internet. When I connect it to the internet it defaults to Samsung TV Plus whether I like it or not. I get sponsored content whether I like it or not. I can't uninstall built-in apps, although I suspect most consumers won't use them. I can't use the built-in Apple TV without being connected to Samsung. All of Samsung's internet services are annoying and intrusive at best. It seems to me that they designed the product as an additional revenue stream for Samsung, not as a consumer TV. I will use it with an external Apple TV without an internet connection. I will enjoy a great picture and freedom from Samsung ads, sponsored content and surveillance. And it will be my first and last Samsung product. Too bad you can't buy a decent TV anymore without connecting it to the internet and losing out on ads, sponsored content and tracking. A 'smart' product should serve the needs of the consumer after sale, not Samsung.
