Exactly what I was looking to replace with an external sliding door handle

I don't write many reviews but thought I'd write about it because I was considering buying this sliding door handle set to give myself a REAL outdoor handle to give at my door. All I had was what I take to be a solid doorknob, not a HANDLE to slip your hand into on the outside of my slider. Typical for construction quality windows and doors. Having just replaced a sliding door in my previous home, I knew they make handles that have a REAL handle inside and out. So I set out to find something to replace the hard outer pull that I could literally only reach with my fingertips. RRRRRR Another issue with the old door is that my current door is nearly 8 feet tall and weighs a lot. When I was 62 and just tugging on a piece of the door with my fingertips, I found it difficult to open and close it from the outside. I measured and looked and looked at the Revain options and decided this is what I need and boy did it. I didn't buy it to replace both handles, although I could. The kit included two different sets of screws. Some screw in both handles individually on each side, while others have an internal screw that goes in from the outside to screw in the internal screw. Replacing the holes on the old outer pole. Sorry if you don't know what I mean, but if you've replaced one of these you will know. I wish they would state this in the description (that it comes with 2 different sets of screws) because it would help me make a decision quicker. They are shown in the drawing of the handles but do not specifically say that 2 sets of screws can be used. So I was able to replace the outer bar with one of these grips using screws that went from the inner to the outer female screw and they fit perfectly. Took less than 10 minutes and I'm so glad it worked and was so easy. I kept the old inside handle and door latch lever because they were fine, and while they don't exactly match in size and shape, who cares. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. So now I have an extra handle and door latch when I need it. My next task with this door is to clean the tracks and apply silicone to the top and bottom frames to make the door slide easier. She is 3 years old but the old owner didn't take care of her. I'm sure this won't really help anyone who is thinking of buying this grip set but I can tell you if like me you need to replace some or all of your grips, the quality is great and the hardware you're going for Your need door, here. Simply measure the hole width, handle length and door thickness to ensure you get the right one.
