Bought this for a young child who has some sensory issues but this well made toy will be equally fun for any young child. The water inside is brightly colored with a hint of glitter and just enough air to allow water to flow when the block is shaken or rotated. The wood is untreated but very smooth. They were generous in creating the framework for these blocks so they are very strong and well balanced to build towers. I can buy more of these to donate to the school's sensory room and I would definitely recommend this brand.
