I bought this pump to set up a rustic hot tub in my backyard. It worked great and this little thing actually pumps some water! I spent about $500 and propane is about $16 and lasts for weeks. Do you really need a filter on your inlet? The water heater has a tiny mesh screen that will get clogged with even the tiniest fibers of clothing. The inlet filter saves the day. You will also need two short hoses to connect the inlet filter. 2. Take the time to securely connect all hoses to/from the water heater. If anything leaks, the water heater will stop working. 3.15 min. Switching off the heating. I just set the timer and turn it back on after a few minutes.4. The intake leaked a bit even after I adjusted it, so I just dunked the intake filter in the water instead of hanging it outside. Problem solved.5. You can be in the bath with the pump running. It is designed for water immersion and is fully functional. When filling the bath: 1. Set up and connect the heater according to the instructions. The water hose from the house goes to the heater, the drain hose goes to the bathtub, the gas hose goes to the propane tank. Follow tightening instructions for each hose! If something is off, the heater will not burn.2. Turn on the gas, turn on the heater switch and connect the water hose. When water flows through the heater, it clicks and lights up. HOT water will begin to flow from the outlet hose into the tub. Set the temperature according to your needs. It takes about 45 minutes to fill my 300 gallon tub. When warming up a cold bath: 1. Connect the inlet filter to the two small hoses mentioned above so that it is in the middle.2. Disconnect the domestic water hose from the heater and connect the hose/filter assembly. Connect the other side of the tubing to the pump.3. Place the pump and inlet filter in the bath.4. The pump must be connected to a short hose, to an inlet filter, to another short hose, to the water hose inlet on the heater. Other connections are not changed.5. . Turn on the gas, turn on the heater switch and turn on the pump. When water flows through the heater, it clicks and lights up. HOT water will begin to flow from the outlet hose into the tub. I leave the heater temp and water pressure on the highest setting when I reheat the water. It takes about 1.5 hours to heat 300 gallons of water in a bath. Other: 1. I often sit alone in the bathtub after work and have found that it is quite large for one person. I'll get a 2.5ft wide/2ft deep/6ft long oval when I'm alone and leave that when my friends come over. 2. Water stays fresh for days without chemicals when closed.
