Review on ๐ŸŽต Enhance Your Car's Audio Experience with Corehan 7 Inch Touch Screen Double Din Stereo featuring Bluetooth, Android Auto, and CarPlay Compatibility by Aaron Richardson

There are a few flaws, but you can't beat Android Auto for less than $100.

Installed it in my 2012 Kia Soul last week. Wiring was fairly easy using the Metra wiring harness to match my stock wiring. I also ordered a Metra dash kit to install and ended up having to modify the brackets (drill through the plastic brackets) as the new head unit isn't deep enough to reach it. mounting holes. The included "universal" radio mounts will not work as they are bent too far and need to be cut with metal snips or an angle grinder. The SWC control worked for me without the need for a separate SWC controller. The main unit works, but only volume up/down works in Carplay or Android Auto mode. You cannot skip tracks with SWC. I'm not sure if it's a block or an AA error. The programming of the SWC from the main unit is done in the settings. Be sure to swipe the bottom bar of the settings page to find the SWC programming button. The volume is good. The EQ settings are pretty limited (bass, treble, volume on/off) and the built-in EQ presets are terrible. I found that the height setting resets when the car is turned off. Take a few seconds to reapply the setting, but it's a bit painful. The screen looks beautiful. There is a brightness setting that you can adjust and the day and night options are adjustable. The hidden menu (password 1234) contains changeable boot logos, but there were only 7 car manufacturers to choose from and Kia wasn't one of them. Try uploading the logo via a USB flash drive, but that doesn't seem to be the way to transfer the image to internal storage. Android Auto works well over a USB connection, but the USB connection doesn't offer fast charging. I have a new Galaxy S21 Ultra and it is definitely charging the phone slowly. Google Assistant works great with the built-in microphone. A friend said she could hear my voice clearly during a Bluetooth call. No problem. In general, I am very satisfied with the device. A few minor bugs here and there, but for under $100 it's great to have Android Auto built into my dashboard and I don't have to connect my phone to my dashboard.

Pros
  • โœ”Multimedia Player - Equipped with a USB port, a microSD card slot and an AUX port to provide multiple options for playing music and movies in the car. Bluetooth connectivity allows you to make hands-free calls and share music via your smartphone. It offers an amazing entertainment experience, and not just on the go.
