Review on 🐧 Tobin DW5972 14 Count Penguin Party Stocking Counted Cross Stitch Kit: Create a Festive 17-Inch Long Christmas Stocking! by Denise Davis

I learned cross-stitch as a child, but I haven't done it at all since then. I decided my kids should have holiday relics, so I'm going to collect them again and make stockings. My baby was born in March and I bought this set in the middle of my maternity leave. Well, I was done just before her second Christmas. Of course I postponed it for several months at the time. And I've been working full time, taking care of a toddler and doing grad school, but even if I had more time/experience it's a time consuming project. All of this says I love her stockings. It's very cute and all the beads and metal threads add a nice finishing touch. People's reviews of the blue Aida are correct. MUCH lighter than pictured. If I had more time I wish I could sew the whole thing in blue so it's as blue as the picture shows, but I didn't and it still looks pretty. I also added metallic outlines to the snow to make it sparkle and changed some weird colors (changed the green on the house and lollipop). I screwed up the format of the bodice and had to buy white fur to finish it, but that's on me and my lack of experience. In short, I am very happy with my end result. Although I am now pregnant with my second and looking forward to another long new design journey.
