Very satisfied with the sound of them. One star had to be removed because the square grilles were very difficult to snap into place and weren't as secure as the round ones. I didn't want them to jump out of the ceiling and I had to pull the ladder back out. I've tried comparing them to a dozen PDIC61RCs I've recently installed in my house. The PDIC61RC uses a metal grille which I found more difficult to paint and didn't look as pretty as the PDIC66 model (painted). Sound quality was comparable, but rooms with PDIC66 seemed to handle higher volumes better. However, it could just be me. They are part of a whole house audio system that is installed in each room with our new OnQ Lagrand system. These (both models) are decent full-range speakers with modest volumes. Don't expect a lot of bass and don't require too much power, but it wasn't what I needed. Maybe they could be used for surround speakers but I wouldn't try to use them for main speakers. Highly recommended for small rooms where bass is not needed.
