I was so excited to try these because we have 3 very large dogs and my mats NEVER stayed in place. The handles are easy to attach to the carpet. Once laid, the grips adhere excellently! My 115 pound German Shepherd didn't even move. But when washing carpets, the problems began. The handles came off the floor with no problem. However, they tore up the back of each carpet. I could not detach the mat from the gripper even after following the steps listed on the product page. I liked how well everything stays in place with the handles, but they definitely cannot be reused. If you have a rug that you never want to wash then these are perfect for you. Otherwise it's a stick and you're done.
