I never leave reviews but I almost didn't buy this product for $12 because of all the negative reviews my husband said. Just try it yourself and I'm so glad I did! I can't make rope braids myself, but it took about 2 minutes with this tool. Some tips I can share with you. I guess the other reviewers must not have done it. It's very good for brushing the hair you curl is the same length as I cut it in the grooves I held the clippers and slowly pressed the button as if twisting her hair (be careful not to clip it rotate, I did it first and had to redo it) then I just followed the arrow and rotated the machine in that direction until it was as tight as I wanted (again don't rotate) and the picture was the finished one the first time Product! There are probably some tutorials on YouTube showing people how to use it, but it was really awesome and easy and I liked the result.
