Review on πŸ” Enhanced Filtering with FilerBuy 20X20X1 Pleated Filters by Brandon Addison

Change filters regularly! As an HVAC engineer and contractor, I agree!

I am a 3 state licensed professional engineer and a licensed HVAC contractor and I fully support these filters. There are different sizes of filters in my house and I use these filters in all my devices. I always use pleated filters and always buy them in bulk so I have no excuse not to change the air filter. While you may hear that dirty filters clean the air better, overly dirty filters block airflow and significantly reduce overall filtration efficiency. If the air cannot pass the filter, it can never be filtered! So pay attention to your air quality and change your filters more often: let the filter do what it is supposed to do. Also, be careful about setting a higher MERV value than your system is rated for. Higher MERV filters tend to have higher resistance, which can reduce airflow in your HVAC system and cause a variety of operational issues with your system, including reduced heating/cooling efficiency, poor air distribution, fan failure, alarms, etc.
