If like me you're upset about the end of life of the Watermaker Mini reverse osmosis system, look no further: PuroSmart is an upgraded Watermaker Mini with all the benefits of a reverse osmosis filter type. WMM was a 20GPD reverse osmosis unit with mixer mount, PuroSmart was a 50GPD mixer mount. Reverse osmosis water comes out noticeably faster and takes 30 minutes to an hour to fill a gallon. My water has almost 300 TDS, which brings it to 10 TDS with the current filter. It contains some wastewater, which is an unfortunate reality for reverse osmosis systems, and even under-the-sink systems have a drain pipe for the same. Thing. The WaterMaker Mini had significantly more effluent than the PuroSmart, and the PuroSmart has an adjustable flow regulator with a tube that allows the effluent to be directed, as opposed to the WMM outlet flow, which comes directly from the system. So far I am impressed with PuroSmart. It fits perfectly into my modest collection of carnivorous plants. I will update this in about 6 months once I know how long the filters will last.
