Review on 🍲 Enamel on Steel Covered Oval Roaster - Granite Ware, 18 inch, 15 lb. Capacity by Tim Roby

Great frying pan at a great price!

This pot has been used for everything that can be baked in the oven: meat, vegetables and combos of all kinds. If your winter is essentially 6 months a year, as it is in western New York is, roasting is a way of life. and post-heating for your home. Before purchasing I was concerned about the lack of a frying rack to lift food from the pan, but as long as you keep a thin layer of moisture (water, cooking stock, etc.) on the bottom you shouldn't have a problem. Even when I ran out of water and didn't notice anything, getting food wasn't too difficult and cleaning up was still an easy task. I'm pretty sure you can buy a separate oval grille to fit the pan cheaply if you really want it, but I've never found it necessary. The socket is strong but VERY light which was a big surprise for my tendonitis. When inverted and placed on top of the pot, the lid fits tight and becomes more compact.
