I had one of the standard metal cages and my dog found every possible escape route. including bending. This cage has nice thick metal bars that it cannot bend. It folds up quite compactly and is very easy to set up. The locking could be better. but if you use a carabiner to reinforce it, it works fine. Without the clamp, my dog can open the latch. My dog managed to break the clip that came with the kit, but I was able to buy a stronger clip for a pretty low price. My only concern is that there are some pretty flimsy metal bars on the bottom of the cage and my dog managed to break one of them. If he breaks too much, he has nothing to lean on.
