Review on Upgrade Your Audio Experience with Meze 99 Classics Walnut Silver Wired Over-Ear Headphones with Mic and Self Adjustable Headband by Anson Chen ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

In general, it's pretty good, an equal number of pros and cons.

Before buying, I read a lot of reviews, reviews, they are mostly all positive, so I bought it easily and without testing. But in vain. We still need to test the headphones. Straight to the point: I didn't like the bass. No, I love basses, but here they are too much. In order to hear the mids and highs better, I turn up the volume, because of this, I don’t listen to music for a long time, the whole sound starts to press painfully on my ears. I bought to replace the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro, I wanted it to be directly noticeably better, but it didn’t work out, not better, but just more bass. Instead of this model, I then took other headphones (more expensive) and that's where the bass is powerful, and the middle and high frequencies are clean and ringing. In general, people have different preferences, they listen to different music, the very combination of DAC + amplifier + headphones creates a single system with its own sound, therefore, it is possible that they will sound differently with other devices. But I chose other headphones and I'm 100% satisfied with that. These are very good in design, in terms of price-quality ratio, they will appeal to those who used headphones of a cheaper class, but compared to the DT 770 Pro, I didn’t feel any jump up, and the bass kept hammering, so not my choice.

Pros
  • Beautiful, well made, good value for money. And the packaging and equipment look like a good gift if you are going to someone.
Cons
  • Didn't like the sound. Overkill with bass. And the sound in the headphones for me, of course, is the most important thing.
