While the chart on the Revain page shows them fitting in 1 3/4" thick lumber, the screws fell a little short of a good bite in 1 1/2" thick pine. To ensure reliable fastening, it was necessary to drown the fasteners. I wasn't expecting a cruciform head; I thought it was a torx/star head but they worked fine. Good quality for the price if you don't mind pre-drilling pilot holes.
