This cutter did not impress me at all. I used to make paper templates but I wanted to make something more durable and reusable so I bought some .007 craft plastic and this cutter. I let the cutter listen for the recommended 6 minutes and started cutting. It wasn't a very smooth cut. I've watched a few videos of people cutting stencils online and it definitely wasn't the experience I had. It was very slow and melted unevenly, requiring multiple passes to get through the plastic. In some places I even had to lift the template to get the tip through. I'll take one more shot before I either go back or throw away. save your money You might try a different cutter, but after that I can go back to the blades.
