Sturdy and Made in the USA Made in the USA Proto is both a work of art and a functional tool. I can only hope Stanley doesn't destroy his Made in the USA tool line by moving it overseas. It makes sense for a budget series, but nothing more. J6006C arrived brand new and with calibration certificate. Outside it is an all-metal construction. Ever since the Craftsman was made in China I was looking for a tool maker to switch to. It feels solid in my hands and I'm sure it will last for decades.
