fixed the issue.but
this is the replacement for the same switch that only lasted 2 or 3 years.and when it fails, you can't start the mower without hotwiring the machine. Pricier than I would have thought or guessed. Had to have it.not sure if there better ones. We'll see how long this one lasts.
