These things are terrible. After about 3-4 uses one of my pins broke. I contacted Amazon and received a replacement within a few days. Put in new clips and ride for 15-20 minutes. I get to work and notice that one of the pins is missing! Imagine if they both shattered and my hood shattered. I wouldn't trust them for a 1 mile drive. Luckily, when the pen fell off, it didn't seem to ruin my two week painting of my Camaro! Please take my advice and stick to "safety pin" style. Slightly larger but they fit well, nothing can come loose and they seem to do their job quite well.
