I used this to store my iPhone 6 and Garmin. Both are safe. The mount is a bit slippery, but that usually means I have to scrub the bottom of the sticky area to remove dust. I take it with me when I fly and rent a car; this is guaranteed to trigger further security checks. To keep the TSA out of your luggage and carry-on, I recommend you take it with you and throw it in the trash separately. You can't see "through" it, so it always wears off.
