At full power when the power strip is fully compressed it will sometimes light up, maybe more often than not. I've never been able to fire it with my arm outstretched, and mine won't fire with the flow dial on anything other than max power either. To answer other reviews, the button is hard to press, but not useless for the vast majority of adults, and not uncomfortable for most adults. (My wife and I can push the button with no problems, except that it rarely lights up.) At that price point, I decided to take a chance and figured it probably wouldn't work. The assumption was confirmed. Go on.
