good camera Inappropriate Instructions.

I chose this one because: 1. A full 10 inch screen as opposed to the 4.5 inch screens of most others. 2. Replaces the original mirror, will not stick to the original mirror like most others. 3. Only 1 wire from the mirror as opposed to 2 or 3 wires from most others. I was looking for a clean, uncluttered factory configuration and this was the best in that regard, and the dashcam is on the 'right' side for left-hand drive cars. The instructions are obviously a direct translation from Chinese and are extremely sparse for those unfamiliar with DVR/backup camera technology. this. mentions an SD card (not included) which to get and where to put it, but doesn't mention WHY you need it. It appears to have memory built into the device, but I have no idea how much. It describes the many custom settings available, but again doesn't describe WHY you choose one setting over another. The kit includes a wedge for use on vehicles without a windshield mount, but there is no mention of what it is or how it attaches. The rear camera mounts are oriented so that the camera mounts to the underside of the rear window, bumper, etc., and the image is reversed when mounted on something. I ended up using double-sided tape directly on the camera body. GPS is not included and is not an option. Too many cables (12ft) are provided to connect power to the mirror in any configuration imaginable. 24' to reserve chamber. It's a very good image and overall I'm happy with it, but it needs some work to make it top notch. A big downside is that some time after installing it I damaged the camera cable on the wheels. I emailed twice asking how to get a replacement and they didn't respond to my request. Update: I installed two of these and after a while they both had the same problem. You can adjust the image on the back inside up or down. Initially it would return to that position every time I turned it on, but over time it stopped and I had to reset it every time I turned it on. I manually realigned the camera but then it was wrong in backup mode. I ended up disconnecting the backup cable which eliminated the parking lines.
