This pump looks, fits and performs exactly like the OEM pump. For reference, my car is a 2006 Dodge 2500 5.9L Cummins. This is the easiest water pump installation I've ever done on a vehicle. There are videos on YouTube on how to do this, but this pump can be replaced without removing anything other than the pump itself. The fan, fan cover, heatsink, etc. can be left in place. Simply loosen the belt tensioner, remove the belt from the alternator/water pump/fan pulley, remove the old pump (two 10mm bolts, hit the pulley with a hammer to knock it out), install the new pump , reinstall belt, loosen tensioner, done. I got this job done in less than an hour. The "hard" part is removing the old pump as it is surrounded by engine components. My car has a tubular radiator fan shroud mount at about 11 o'clock. Remove the nut from this bracket (it is not necessary to remove the bracket itself) to allow the fan shroud to flex enough to remove the old pump and insert the new one. Be careful not to hit the pump on the back of the cooler to avoid piercing the cooler core. they are fairly easy to damage.
