I was looking for a good, compact and powerful monocular and when I found this one at a reasonable price and with many positive reviews I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did. The optics are great for the price. The picture is bright, sharp and sharp around the edges. It's lightweight and easy to use and focus with one hand. Build quality is also excellent without feeling cheap. The lens caps fit snugly and snugly, and the front stays in place when open. Some users have mentioned wanting the back tethered as well, but it rubs against your cheek when looking through the monocular and can be annoying. It also comes with a nice and handy table tripod with height-adjustable legs. Another nice feature that goes unmentioned is that the eyepiece has three adjustable positions to set your eye's preferred distance from the lens so your lashes don't rub against the lens. It would be ideal if the manufacturer included a neck strap eyelet, but this is a minor issue and there is a belt loop on the case. As a icing on the cake, I even received an email from Polaris Optics thanking me for my purchase. Only a company committed to customer satisfaction would take that extra step and I appreciate it.
