I bought this to use in our living room with our TV. Looks great and is very quiet. The HDMI output has its own audio output, so we can play music through an amplifier or TV, which is convenient. Despite the NVidia chip installed on it, the video playback performance is not that great. This is especially true for HD videos. This can be due to the low performance of the Atom processor or the bus bandwidth to the video chip. I didn't spend any more time identifying the culprit. I installed Linux (LinuxMint, a derivative of Ubuntu) on this machine so I wouldn't have to worry about viruses and other user permissions/security issues, and everything worked reasonably well. The new WLAN driver for the included Ralink chip did not work and therefore had to be blacklisted. The old driver (also included in the standard distribution) works fine and this change allowed me to shut down or pause the PC. The only problem Linux still has on this machine is that the processor's power management doesn't work. From what I've read, this has probably been fixed in newer kernels. The wireless keyboard and mouse worked well for me in my living room. And the keyboard is relatively small because there is no number pad on the right. In general, I recommend this for not very demanding applications. It saves energy and space than larger computers. However, you must be aware of the limitations of this low power and small size, otherwise they will not meet your needs.
