I have bought two of these heat mats for my sand boas in the last few months. They are very thin and not sticky which is a plus for me. Unlike Zoo Med mats, you don't have to worry about mats getting damaged when upgrading suitcases. However, you don't have anything with you to lift the warm tank under the tank. This isn't required for Exo Terra cases, but if you have a regular reservoir you'll need to devise a method to ensure airflow underneath. Luckily I still have the legs from the old Zoo-Med carpet. As with all UTHs, you'll need a thermostat in addition to a mat to keep the temperature at a safe level. With this I can get 95Β° hotspots for my sand boas. They don't raise the ambient temp, though, so you'll need CHE as a secondary source if you're like me and have a cold house. Aside from missing something to lift your suitcase, I'm very happy with these heating mats. I haven't had any issues with durability so far, but it's only been a few months.
