I'm male and I got this for a quick emergency backup. Sometimes I rush to work and shave in a hurry when I leave the house. Just in case I wanted to throw it in the car. It's not very good for that, to be honest, as it sticks and tugs on slightly thicker hair. Well, having said that, I've tried it on finer hair like around the ear and such, which is where it really should be used. As the description says, this is more of a finishing touch. As far as I can tell, it's great! It doesn't stick to finer hair and seems to have enough energy to take care of them. The battery is replaceable and easy to use as the battery compartment opens when you unscrew the cover. It's very compact and lightweight, I suppose it's easy to put in a purse or cosmetic bag. In general it's not for me, but when used as intended (as it should be!) it's a + thing!
