Good sharpening steel, quality whetstones, modest stand. Bought for steel and stone, the stand was a bonus for leveling the knives, not needed or I would have asked for a replacement - like others, mine broke in transit. I don't know why they make it so flimsy - the stand is layered bamboo, and the back and bottom are two thick pieces, and the front, bottom edge is one block, finished with just a thin, flimsy strip down the middle glued is the corner. polished bamboo holding it together. Even if mine was sent in one piece I think due to the overlap and the thinness of the joined material which would bend quite easily the base could easily break if the stand was dropped, roughly handled or pressed onto the stone or steel when sharpening at certain angles, which can be dangerous. Not sure if I'll re-insert mine or just lay the stone on the table and estimate a 15-16 degree angle. That's no surprise - the stone comes with a non-slip silicone/rubber sheet to set it up, but the stone only fits in the stand when it's removed from the silicone thing, so I'm assuming it needs to be designed for that Purpose.
