On one of my oil changes a while back, the mechanic lost the oil drain plug washer when it fell into the oil pan. Of course, every oil change there is checked for a leak AFTER they've changed the 10 gallons of oil that my truck needs. After changing the fresh oil, I finally decided to do something about it. I was looking for a replacement plug that would do the trick. I found this one without the loose washer ring and it had an extra rubber grommet on it. I replaced my old plug by pouring a little oil into the drain pan and just hand tightening it to stop the leak. I unscrewed it, no leaks. not a drop yet.
