Installed on my leaky toilet, whole process took less than 10 minutes, very easy. A few tips: 1) Make sure the surfaces are completely dry and clean - I rubbed some rubbing alcohol on the drain lip and then dried it completely with a paper towel 2) Not sure if this helps or not, but I have all the areas to be heated with a hair dryer also slightly heat the adhesive surface of the replacement flush valve 3) Be careful when removing the backing paper from the adhesive, work slowly and when you feel the paper tearing stop and start elsewhere and move from the opposite side 4) Make sure you press down firmly and evenly on the adhesive to create a strong seal, think of it more like a putty than a sticky surface - you'd like that it is pushed in and around the toilet gasket 5) Go slowly and make sure the gasket is properly centered before you press while you can remove the valve and try again if you get it wrong it will definitely work better if you got it right the first time, i did everything and the thing works great alot Easier and faster than removing the entire tank and replacing the valve and seals.
