Review on πŸ”Œ Nillkin Qi Receiver USB C for Galaxy A51/A20E/A20, Pixel 2 & Other Type-C Android Cell Phones (Short Version) by Sanai Rosario

Revainrating 3 out of 5

You may have destroyed my new phone.

I bought a Pixel 4a 5G to replace my Nexus 6 which makes me appreciate wireless charging. Too cheap for a Pixel 5, I figured I'd save some cash by using this receiver to add wireless charging capability. I managed to charge the phone with the wireless charger but the phone died within 24 hours. (Won't turn on without first unplugging the wireless charger from the USB-C port, along with various other glitches.) The phone then completely shut down and wouldn't turn on without first accepting a charge from the OEM charger. Eight hours later, the phone turned off and wouldn't turn back on until the OEM charger was connected, even though the battery indicated a 94% charge at that point. I trade phones with Google but am hesitant to use it to charge my phone. again. I suspect that all of these universal chargers are made in the same factory and are of the same quality. The wireless charger receiver has no visible damage.
