Review on CURT 31068 Front Receiver Hitch - 2-Inch for Ford Expedition, F-150, Lincoln Navigator by Mike Ramani

This is a quality hitch but on my 2013 F150 it doesn't extend far enough past the bumper for my multi mount winch. I had to order an extension. It's probably fine for a bike or rack, but I'd like it to protrude about 4-5 inches further from the front of the bumper. It went in very easily. I actually used a brass hammer to spread the fenders a bit before installing them and taped the shims to the clutch wings, not the frame. It slid right in and locked into place. It looks great, just wish it stuck out a little more for my winches. I'm hoping my extension will fit in the winch mount although I know it reduces pull as it is another link in the system reducing force. Can't wait to get an extension cord and take my winch with me when I'm in the mountains. I would still buy it although I now have to buy an extension to use my winch. He appears to be very well built and very strong. In general very satisfied. I know this will be a great addition to my truck.
