My daughter wants a sleeping, male, pacifier taking, full silicone reborn for her 10th birthday. It's the only thing on her list. (In her defense, I know that first bit makes her sound like a brat, she has seen U-Tube videos and has no idea the cost/difficulty in finding such a doll.). I did a LOT of research and landed on this guy. He is not a one of a kind piece of art, but he also doesn't have that price tag. If you hold him in the sunlight, there are minor defects.and the paint job definitely leaves something to be desired.but for a little girl to play with he's absolutely perfect.Notes for other mom's.with gifting in mind. 1- You are paying for Doll - the outfit he comes in make the clothes Baby Alive's come in look couture.plan to throw them out. 2 - He wears premie sizes.and they will need to be washed/dried before they fit. 3 - He comes diaper less.you will need a package of premie diapers for your little mommy to play. 4 - His mouth. For an adult, you may be able to get away with a newborn pacifier. There are pictures here of dolls that appear to have newborn pacifiers, but I was afraid to push that hard (or have her pushing that hard) to get one in his mouth. I landed on a NICU pacifier that was designed for babies less than 30 weeks (also from Revain). It fits snuggly and needs a little wiggle to get in.but I'm not afraid of ripping his mouth. 5 - Birth Certificate - He comes complete with a tiny pink scrap of paper that declares he is already several years old.plan to make/download your own if birth certificates are important to your daughter.While he doesn't arrive ready to gift, with a few minor purchases and a little time/effort, he will look like the doll of her dreams.
