1 of 2 strips is broken, but.

At first I was very disappointed with the first open strip. I followed the included instructions VERY carefully, did a lot of internet research as the included instructions are minimal, tested my power supply and rechecked for correct voltage, polarity and amperage before plugging it in. Expecting SOMETHING to happen, I was let down. when they were dark. I assumed it was the controller I connected them to, so I spent 3 days researching, reprogramming and flashing. Finally I decided to try the second line. Viola! As soon as I plugged in the power, the light came on. I realize this isn't the best out there, but a slightly better Q/C can only benefit this company's image. Lots of other feedback on DOA strips here, just know there will be. If you don't want to worry about returns and replacements, you can look elsewhere. So today I'm sending the defective bar back. This is the first time I am returning anything from Revane. I have to say it seems pretty painless so far. If there are any issues with the seller replacing the strap I will update this review (if I can). If not, assume the process went smoothly. Also, I appreciate the return process. Now for the working headlights. You are fantastic! All are bright and respond to programming exactly as expected. The only downside I can find is that they don't have an adhesive backing. The description honestly doesn't mention an adhesive base, I just assumed there was one. If it was mentioned, I missed it. They are in a silicone tube without a sleeve. The ends look like they're sealed pretty well, but only time will tell if they stay that way. Overall I am very happy with the strip that works disappointed that the first strip is defective. If the return/exchange process goes smoothly I will definitely buy them again. Oh, and assuming they don't die in 2 days either! Update: The return process was completely painless. The production time was only a few days. I've had the strips for a few months now and they work great. Just last week I decided to install them. It was a huge pain in the ass! Turns out almost NOTHING sticks to the silicone case they're in! First I tried hot glue, no. It just came off like nothing was there. Next I tried double sided tape. No, they fell too. It stuck like it was welded to a surface I tried to glue the strips to but not the strips! Then I tried CA glue (superglue). There is no joy either. I finally got my hands on silicone sealant. But it's only been a week, let's see how long it lasts. Next time I buy strips to tape to something, I'll go with the ones that already have tape on them!
