I ordered these shorts to wear after a total knee replacement. I'm 5ft 2in, 150lbs and ordered a large for a loose fit. The shorts reach to the knee. Good fabric, not thick like sweatpants but heavier than fine jersey shorts. Two deep phone pockets in front. or lip balm, a good back pocket. The waistband is quite wide with a sewn channel for the top. It also prevents the gum from rolling. i have coal Until it rolls. Super comfortable to sit or do physical therapy. Highly recommended .
