Check them all when they arrive

The first one worked like clockwork but died within 3 months. The second, fresh out of the static package, was DOA. I am currently using a third one and am wondering how long I can expect it to last. There's a chance I'm responsible for shorting out the first one, but that was in a case that didn't generate much heat, with a voltage within spec (5 Vin). I plan to open all three once I receive and test them.
