Review on Merrell Unisex-Child Chameleon 2.0 Lace-Up: Top-Rated Kids Hiking Shoes by Tim Larsen

Revainrating 1 out of 5

I wish there was a 3.5 star option

I bought 2 pairs of these shoes for my 7 and 10 year old boys to use on their upcoming hike. I had the boys wear them 2 months early to break them in and use them for short weekend hikes. They did not get blisters and felt comfortable. They have a good grip but my 10 year old's shoes started falling apart after 3 weeks of wearing. There is already a hole in the material around the opening of the boot and there is some stitching sticking out on the side of the boot so there is now a hole on the side of the boot. My 10 year old is very picky about shoes but I was hoping they would last two months! My 7 year old's pair are not holed up yet and I picked up my 10 year old's pair to store for the trip. I still think it's a good shoe just not strong enough for my 10 year old to wear every day.

Pros
  • flat shoes
Cons
  • old
