Just super, it's beautifully made, I'm very happy with it.

With any comparisons, you always want to add - depending on what to compare with. In this case, I am comparing not with other widths that I have not used, but with universal glasses of both economy and professional class. Now the duty kit consists of this lens and 28-300L. So, the picture is really good. I will not write about aberrations, geometry, vignetting, now Lightroom corrects this automatically and quite well. It’s more difficult with sharpness, so I’ll write about it - it’s very good in the main field of the picture, it can’t be compared with any Tamron, here this glass is closer to the elka. But at the edges, yes, it blurs a little. The wide angle on it suits me very much - shooting indoors and landscapes has become a pleasure. The depth of field on it forgives rare autofocus misses. In general, when you look at a photo in LR, you don’t always immediately determine whether it was taken on the Elk or on it. Therefore, I summarize - the glass is very worthy.

Pros
  • wide angle Color rendering Sharpness in the main field Weight (compared to the professional series)
Cons
  • Expensive filters for 77 and not all fit in height Edge sharpness A somewhat flimsy design, of course, when compared with an elka, but here the weight differs significantly. Shooting with CPL at wide angle results in a dark band in the middle of the image (I suspect this at all wide angles), so consider if you need CPL.
