Review on Enhance Your Home Décor with ROKR Victorian Rotating Decorative Grown Ups by Jay Chenier

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very pretty but suitable for desk toys

I've done a few of these "pandemic puzzles" so I have experience. This puzzle came together very well, the pieces fit together with very little sanding and is the first puzzle where I haven't broken at least one piece of wood. With that in mind I would rate it 5 stars but there are two issues. First, I prefer the "booklet" of instructions that comes with all other puzzles, rather than a folded sheet. The problem is that the photos are much smaller and a little hard to follow on the sheet. I understand they are probably trying to save money but are not a fan. Second, everything fits very well, with no chafing and a lot of wax on the faces, but the winding often stalls as if something is rubbing. I've taken it apart twice to check and can't find any rubbing or tightness anywhere, so I'm wondering if there could be a problem with the winch. It works, but never keeps running continuously without a slight nudge to start it again. I would still recommend it to someone with little experience as it's a good example to present, and how often do we even really wrap these things up?

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Hard to say
