We wanted to turn our ceiling fan/light into a smart one and this product did it! The physical installation was easy and quick if you have a basic knowledge of electrical engineering. If not, seek professional help. Installing the app was also quite easy and quick. Smart Life does an excellent job and finds it if you follow the given instructions. Integrating with Alexa was a bit tricky. Alexa read the fan but not the light. After about 15 minutes of fiddling around I somehow got it working. I'm not sure what I did, but it works now. Cons: I found a small hiccup so I deducted a star. A little annoying, but I can live with that for the price. When I say "Alexa, turn on the light," the light and fan turn on. Sometimes the fan turns off after a few seconds, sometimes not. Again a minor inconvenience, as I can tell off the top of my head, turn off the fans. Please note if your fan has 3 speeds like mine, make sure it is on the highest speed so you can control the speed with the app. Otherwise your highest speed in the application will be the same as the physically set speed (I hope that makes sense). If your lighting also has three modes, set it to the mode you will be using most. I don't think the app can change the lighting modes. Remember this is an adapter for a regular ceiling fan, real smart fans have more features but are also expensive.
