I use this gripper to move sheets/panels of plywood of different thicknesses. As long as you have the strength in your legs to lift the weight of an entire slab, you can move the sheets almost effortlessly (although I don't recommend attempting this yourself on windy days). I'll take it with me to try it on. store and use regularly in my shop. Sometimes, even when the slabs are smaller, I use it to move the cut pieces simply because I don't want to fiddle around with gloves to protect my hands from roughness and splinters. The only reason I took one star. doesn't work because the rubber material on the handle has already "weathered" a bit in the 3 months I've had it; It felt a little "sticky" and started to curl up and peel off bits of rubber. This does not affect usage. It's just aesthetic and a bit annoying to hold onto the sticky rubber handle while using the tool.
