Review on VorteXplore by Joe Glass
Very good visualization tool and reporting system
The software is easy to use, it has many features that are useful for my daily work as an analyst at CERN. It's fast loading data from different sources (SQL Server DBs etc.) in one report without having to make changes or create new reports every time I want to see something specific with this information source. Also you can have several queries in your dashboard so that if some of them don't give any results then they won´t be displayed by default but only when clicked upon. You need someone who knows how to navigate through all these options/features available within VORTEXPLORE which might not seem intuitively clear enough even after reading documentation provided along with each version release. So far no issues noticed during our usage here at CERN. We're using vortex explore mainly to visualize historical trends of server load metrics across.
- Easy way of navigating between pages & searching / filtering query history very user friendly interface
- There could perhaps more advanced ways of defining filters like Boolean logic instead just being able o select either TRUE OR FALSE
