I highly recommend these little stones. They're useful for touching up just about anything that needs sharpening. The small size is easy to carry and not too heavy to put in your backpack. The small size is also ideal for ski finishing. Also suitable for sharpening snowboards. The hard steel of the ski edges does not scratch the stone like many other artificial stones. I have had one of these stones for over 20 years and recently bought it for my son. My stone regularly sits in the kitchen drawer where it's convenient to quickly touch up knives when I don't want bench stones.
