When the original LG filter is expired, we will buy 3 packs of these filters (to save money). After a week or two, the water and ice became undrinkable (mineral, metallic taste). We removed that filter and used #2 and had the same issue. We removed #2 and #3 and installed. same problem. Then we bought an LG OME filter and voila, the problem was solved and stayed solved. I don't know if the issue was brand related or just a bad batch, but each filter quickly ended up in the trash. We are a big water drinking family and bad water was a big problem for us. In the future, we'll just pay more money and get the LG brand. TO UPDATE. The seller contacted me about my negative experience with their product and offered me a product replacement or refund. I opted for a refund which I received in just a few days. Due to the seller's post-sale measures, I am changing the overall rating to 2 stars. The manufacturer firmly believes in the quality of its product and is ready to support it. It is impressive. When I am ready to buy filters again I will try this product again.
